Just been forwarded this and it might be of interest to some…

It’s on the 9th and 10th of December and it’s at the London Olympia, an exhibiton full of photography seminars, tutorials, equipment stuff etc.
This show is free.
When writing this calendar it is pouring down with rain. No better time then to go and see some exhibitions and hope for better weather for next week’s meetup.
On another note, The Photographer’s Gallery is holding a PhotoSocial event this Thursday, 6 November between 18:30 and 21:00. It is an informal night showcasing new photography, with music and debate. This time there is a discussion around the theme “the internet is/isn’t a viable platform for ’serious’ photography”. Jason Evans, of thedailynice.com and Aaron Schuman, Editor of the online photography magazine SeeSaw, debate whether the internet is a worthy gallery space for image-based work. How successfully have photographers responded to the internet? Does the internet change how photographers take pictures?
This seems like an interesting topic for us photobloggers (at least I’m intriged), so I was wondering if people might be interested in going to this event. It’s free and more info can be found here. If you feel up for this, please leave a comment and we could maybe have a mini-meetup this Thursday! (more…)
