Tube Attack
How insane is this? A man photographing on the Waterloo Underground station was attacked by some lunatic who wasn’t too happy to appear in the shot:
“It would appear the victim, an amateur photographer, who enjoys taking snaps of London street scenes, was taking shots on the escalators when a member of the public took exception to having his photo taken and asked him to delete the photo.
The photographer told him he could not delete the shot as it was not a digital camera. The man then attempted to grab the camera and punched the victim in the face. The victim suffered cuts and bruising to his face as a result of the incident.”
Thankfully the photographer managed to get a decent photo of his attacker and the Transport Police is looking for the man and any witnesses who saw this happen.

I read the full article on ‘Going Underground’ and think it is incredibly unfortunate that this happened to the photographer. Like the photographer, I still use film and would not be able to delete any photos I took of someone, but I would absolutely assure them that I will cut the negative out, and even send it to them if they require.
Violence as a means to ending a conflict is always unnecessary, and in this case has lead to the photo of the person being put on the Going Underground blog, and becoming wanted by the Transport Police.
